What’s New for What If Volunteers in 2026?
Shorter Shifts!
Most shifts are now 2–3 hours, with a few exceptions. This change reflects feedback we’ve heard and are excited to pilot this year.
New and Updated Shift Types:
- Placement (Flagging): Support site setup in those EARLY days and help stamp out the camps and the road.
- Exodus: Added teardown shifts on Saturday and Sunday to help ease the load on Monday.
- Sanctuary: Shift Lead roles are longer in duration but function as on-call positions
We hope these updates make volunteering at What If more flexible, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone.
