You are invited to participate in What If on many levels. We encourage and support everyone’s freedom to express themselves, have the experience they want, and add to the experience of others. However, we do have a few guidelines to ensure that your freedom does not interfere with others and to help us all keep safe and comfortable. In the following pages you will find information on how to prepare for the event and some conditions on attending.

The Survival Guide for What If 2026 will be published a few weeks prior to the event. In the meantime, you can read last year’s Survival Guide, as many things will be the same, and this will give you an overall idea of what to expect at a Burner event.

What Where When Guide / Dust App

We’re excited to once again be going digital using an incredibly handy app made by a fellow burner called DUST.

Dust is an unofficial app for Black Rock City and Regional Burns, a gift offering from the app creator. Several Regional Events have been using it for a while now with great success. We used it last year and the response was overwhelmingly positive. So many benefits to using an online app!
