Drones

If you’re thinking of bringing a drone to What If , please make sure to review the GVIAS Drone Policy beforehand!

Any drone usage must be reviewed and approved by Production BEFORE What If Drones are only allowed as part of art installation/art activity, and cannot have photography or videography capabilities.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in drone confiscation and/or expulsion from the What If .

Concealed Camera Device (CCD)

Got yerself some Meta glasses? Well it’s a free country I guess… but please don’t bring them to What If!
Our new policy applies principle of Consent and dovetails with our general photography policy to keep our participants safe to express themselves freely.
No functioning concealed cameras allowed, no exceptions.

Lasers

Personal hand-held and body lasers of any kind are strictly prohibited. Any unapproved lasers found during the event will be confiscated, and expulsion may be considered.

Artists wanting to include lasers as part of an installation must seek pre-approval from What If Production prior to the start of the event.

Photos and Videos

Always explicitly ask for permission before taking anyone’s photo.

Images, videos and audio recordings taken for any commercial purposes are strictly prohibited; this includes sharing content on commercial social media accounts.

Do not take photos of minors without their parent/guardian’s explicit permission. Only parents/guardians can post photos of their minors online after the event.

Photos of nudity are strictly prohibited.
