What Where When 2024 - your guide to BitF!

Updates for What If 2025 are being made as information becomes available. This page is not fully up to date as of yet.

The What Where When Guide for What If 2025 will be published a few weeks prior to the event. In the meantime, you can read last year’s What Where When Guide to reminisce or get inspired!

There are going to be amazing things happening at BitF this year!

NEW for 2024!
The What Where When is the definitive guide to camps, art, and events at BitF. We’re excited to announce that this year we’re going digital using an incredibly handy app made by a fellow burner called DUST.

Dust is an unofficial app for Black Rock City and Regional Burns, a gift offering from the app creator. Several Regional Events have been using it for a while now with great success!

♦ OFFLINE APP! ♦

The app was created to WORK OFFLINE while at events. So you won’t need to be connected to access all of the info! Just be sure to download the latest version of the app AND open the BitF event BEFORE you lose cell service!
You can choose to print the WWW in advance at home (coming July 22) if you prefer not to be in your phone – please read more on this below!

Download DUST app NOW to read details on all of the exciting  Art, Camp, Events & Music offerings AND to check out all of the cool features on your phone (works offline!)

DID YOU KNOW? In the app, you can *star */favourite Art, Camp, Events & Music listings! There’s a handy print icon at the top of Faves page for you to print at home before you come if you prefer to have a hard copy – we do love a highlighter!
The app will push a reminder out to your phone 15 minutes before the start of your favourited Events & Djs sets.

  • PLEASE share this to your friends lists & in your group chats, so that people don’t struggle with trying to download on site. Not everyone is reading their emails or seeing the FP/Blog site posts!

♦ PRINTED MAP ♦

There will be a good number of hard copy Participant maps offered to you upon arrival at Gate.
You can also download a copy to your phone if you like, it’s available here.

We’re going to try it this year, and then we’ll collect and review post-event feedback on how you thought it went. We’ll be listening!

UPDATE: JULY 23 PRINT AT HOME VERSIONS AVAILABLE

If you prefer to have a paper copy of the WWW contents, please download one of the following PDF files to print at home. We have created a full content edition as well as a Family Friendly edition.

* Only the EVENTS & 18+ camps have been edited to exclude Mature content. Some Camps listed may include Mature workshops at times. Never leave children unattended. There may be adult subject matter that is inappropriate for children at BitF and there are physical risks at the site. Be aware that full nudity is permitted in our community.

NOTE: the printed version could only fit a maximum of 10 lines of text for EVENTS listings only. A few events with longer entries can be read fully in the Dust app.

♦ DOWNLOAD LINKS ♦

Some folks might be thinking… “Isn’t everyone gonna be on their phone all the time?! Doesn’t this suck?! Why are you doing this to us!”

♦ A few things to consider ♦

♦ We will create a print-at-home PDF version for you to download and print at home if you prefer to have printed copy in hand – coming July 22.

BitF Production will be printing a considerable number of the final ‘pretty’ site map to give out at Gate, so folks will have that on hand to refer to vs having to open their app to find a camp/art/services location.

♦ We encourage you to refer to the app in the comfort of your camp before venturing out and be mindful of phone use when out and about.

♦ Camp & Art leads get to upload their own content and can edit it in real time even during the event!

Check out the web preview of what’s already been submitted so far in Camps & Events.

♦  CONTENT PROVIDERS ♦
Please read this DUST App Instructions document to get you started!

  • If you would like to submit some content but aren’t associated with a registered Camp or Art Project, please use this form to submit your info!

DEADLINE TO MAKE IT INTO THE PRINT-AT-HOME PDF version of the What Where When HAS PASSED (Monday July 15th!) – You can still make edits that will go live in the App.

Any questions, please email squishelle, WWW/Dust App lead at [email protected].
